In December 2022, ACRE Capital sponsored Team Dark Trio to row across the Atlantic ocean as part of the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge. Having trained hard and prepared well, expectations were high. The team put in a massive effort, rowing a total of 2,748 miles using 1.5 million oar strokes. Their time of 35 days, 1 hour and 35 minutes set a new world record for 3-person crews, smashing the existing one by over 7 hours. The team consumed 8,000 calories per day during the challenge and came face to face with a whale, a marlin and dolphins. The have raised considerable sums for Young Minds, a mental health charity.
