ACRE Capital have advised Starwood on the acquisition of a major UK-wide platform of urban logistics assets for a price of approximately £200m.
The portfolio, which was acquired from Barings, extends to approximately 1.6 million sq ft and comprises 10 industrial estates positioned in core markets close to densely populated urban conurbations including Oxford, Portsmouth, Birmingham and Glasgow.
The acquisition provides Starwood with the opportunity to capture the significant growth prospects within the UK urban logistics sector. Barings will continue to provide asset management services to Starwood.
